TIMBITS (U7) DEVELOPMENT ICE!!!
Hey everyone.
We will be running development ice for the U7 Timbits age. ALL ice at Cardel South.
It would be a full commitment, no drop-ins offered. With Cardel being one of the few rinks offering split ends of 9 players at each end, our intention is to have both ends running as such, with a lead coach at each end (skills and skating coaching to be involved).
The cost of the 8 sessions would be $240 ($30 per icetime). It is important to know that spectators are not permitted at basically all rinks right now - so please factor this into your decision in committing.
Coaches expected to be involved with the players - Mickey Kluner, James Poole, Candice Hughes and others.
Icetimes (Cardel South)
Sunday, Feb 21 - 930-1030am
Wednesday, Feb 24 - 445-545pm
Saturday, Feb 27 - 245-345pm
Monday, Mar 1 - 430-530pm
Sunday, Mar 7 - 745-845am
Monday, Mar 8 - 430-530pm
Friday, Mar 12 - 500-600pm
Sunday, Mar 14 - 745-845am
Please register on the website if interested.
Hi everyone.
We hope this email finds you well. As everyone knows, a modified return to ice has been put in place for the time being. We are excited about this and can't wait to see your player when it works for you.
We have (or are about to) secured evening and weekend ice at various arenas (South based - Trico, Cardel South, Southland, Frank McCool). Not yet finalized but expect to have quite a bit for Pinnacle programming.
Starting Feb 16th, for approximately 5 weeks, we will have options for 2 or 3 development sessions a week for your player.
For now, we will have a maximum of 9 in the group, plus 1 coach for the full ice.
Hockey Alberta announced a couple days ago that programming can run with 2 mini-groups of 9 on the ice with one coach per group, staying on their own end of the ice, own dressing room, etc. At this time, some of the arena's we are going to be at are not allowing this adjustment and are only allowing 10 total on the ice. We are going to stick with this for now, with potential of transitioning to this is coming weeks should it be permitted.
It will be a full commitment for the 5 week "program", so approximately 10-15 total icetimes, depending on which option you prefer.
If you bring a full group of 9 to us, we can try to customize days you are looking for, but otherwise your player would be generally slotted into a skills session relevant to their age group.
Icetimes will be $45 per player. Again, would be full commitment for this - no drop in's will be entertained at this time.
We expect the earliest the ice will be is 5pm start with the latest finish 9pm or so (for midget age could be a touch later finish).
TIMBITS Players - We are working on options right now separate from this for a lesser cost (likely daytime ice or wait until we can move forward with 9 per end to get 18 on ice) will keep you posted or send us interest to add to the list.
For the skill sessions, there will be a range of coaches delivering instruction, including Mickey Kluner, Jamie Steer, Ryan Fox and other Pinnacle coaches.
Age groups will be based on this past hockey season, and will do everything we can to piece together similar calibre groups based on registration.
We expect to have final schedules available this upcoming weekend. If choosing to see scheduling before committing that is fine, but we do expect to get a significant amount of registration immediately even without a specific schedule yet, given we have outlined parameters of what it should look like, so encourage you to register sooner than later. Registration won't be confirmed until full payment received. Cost will be determined on if you choose 2 or 3 icetimes per week.
As for Spring 2021 (April/May), we will be looking to run this in the normal timeline of an April start, and do not currently have plans to start this early. Primarily due to hopes and expectations that regulations will be eased more by then to allow us to run more full programming, 3on3, intersquad games, etc.
Thanks and look forward to your response.
Mickey Kluner
